Ooh I wonder if I can get that mix stuff that's posted above here in Holland. Probably not. I'm having a X-mas cocktail party on the 16th and I don't want to be stuck mixing drinks all night like I did last time.

All the women walked in and literally said, (when they saw my martini glass ) "Oh hey! That's one of those Sex and the City drinks! Can you make me one too?" And then I was in the kitchen all night.

I know, but no one here will ever do that. Fancy cocktail drinks are not popular at all here and you really can't even get them in most bars. I even went to some hyped-up "fancy, VIP" club with a Studio 54-type door policy in Amsterdam last weekend, and when I got up to the bar, the bartender didn't even know how to make anything other than vodka with a bottle of bitter lemon.

So it always ends up being me doing all the work.

When I'm in the mood for it, I mix (approximately, to taste) equal parts Belvedere Vodka, Stirrings Chocolate Martini Mixer, and Pucker Strawberry Sweet & Sour Schnapps for a Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini that is delicious. Nearly tastes as good as the real thing.

I make a mean Cosmopolitan - sweet but will knock you on your butt.
I love making Prosecco cocktails on XMas & Thanksgiving along with a slew of others I'm too lazy to mention.

I dont care for syrupy drinks. I like straight alcohol perfectly balanced by a master 'bar chef'. The kind where its all hard liquor but you dont taste it. Fresh juices and herbs for flavor.
