Looks--can't help it, it's what I notice first, including Weight/Body type. But the rest are so important, looks alone are not enough.
Personality--probably more important than looks in the end, but I can only get to know someone after I've already looked a them. Personality compatability is probably the biggest determining factor in whether or not there is any relationship at all, however. Intelligence--pretty important factor, but I can get along with smart people too  --

But even in the retelling I worry that I am arrogant about it and so I never want to put that first over anything.

Incidentally, I thought that was a weird thing to say in therapy. Yeah, I guess in her eager attempt to boost your self-confidence with a well-deserved compliment she didn't realize that she almost killed your hopes and dreams of finding a man.
Anyway, it does indeed sound arrogant just to tell this story, even though I know you're not. I remember when Llee posted a thread asking people if they thought they were smart and only the smart people said no. Well duh!
