I don't know about you but I am much more then my pride. I try not to let it get in the way of my happiness.
I am my own worst enemy sometimes too but for me I have to do what I feel and know if it is what I really want without the games. I do not have time for games in my life. You only live once and I want to live it to the fullest. I do not let fear or pride keep me from finding pleasure in my life.
Pleasure and experiences are important to me.
I guess you and I have different priorities which is fine.
