I've been alone more a christmas than hooked up. This will be my third christmas that I'm with Cupcake. Christmas of '03 I had just broekn up with my ex a month before. Sad...but I had a BLAST! I got so drunk that whole week with my roomate. If you have some single friends or friends that are tired of their man's bullshit I say have a christmas party together. I had a BLAST! In fact, cupcake and I were just "kickin it" in 04 so I had another chirstmas BLAST! with my friends. Otherwise, I've been alone or away from a sig. other. It's time to call in the girlfriends! I've had christmas with a friend's family a few times too. Still had a good time

well sitting by the fire place with a glass of wine snuggling up to the one you love is more like how it is. especially when your family is around you get to show him off to everyone and talk and eat and drink and have a good time. its times like those that come back when i think about christmas past. and of course you know what happens by the fire place underneath the mistletoe....

i don't know. when i think of christmas i think of children. i never associated it with being in a relationship or not. eventhough i am in one right now, i have zero problem with being single around christmas. i also have zero problem with it on new years. if i'm single on Valentines day it crosses my mind for like a millisecond (thats because everyone else is making a big deal out of it), but after that its just like another day.

Spending Xmas alone without sacktime is not fun. You always see tons of people shopping with loads of presents and the holiday promotes relationships, togetherness, family, so it can't help bother a person if they don't have all of that.

Well at least you don't have to battle the crazy shopping scenes in stores (I'm a professional shopper, I have to do it and don't look forward to it.)
Spend time with your friends and family who love you and you can treat yourself to soemthing. Buy a present to you from you whether it's chocolate or a day at the spa.
Also, you don;t have to worry about going to other people's family gathering that you just might not want to be around.
