I am trying 2 download and install a programme or 2 from www.downloads.com and when I click Download Now, the usual Windows/Microsoft/Internet Explorer(I am not sure actually which programme has this) File Download Manager comes up 2 begin the download then, suddenly, a box appears from Internet Explorer with a notice telling me it has encountered a problem and needs 2 close(this box then has 2 buttons - Send Error Report & Dont Send)

This is constantly happening every time I try 2 download and install something, particularly from downloads.com!!

The thing is I cant download and install another Download Manager cos I have 2 use the aforementioned File Download Manager in order 2 start the process!!

have you tryed clicking with the right button and open in a new window some times this helps.

why don't you just uninstall the download manager you are currently using? You don't need a download manager to download stuff.
