Actually, it's not pretty at all because when you see them it looks like the legs are hair. It's like a fast moving, tiny, hairy alien.

The first time I saw one, I was pointing at it yelling, "What are you???".

They are truly fucking gross.

OMFG. Those things are EVERYWHERE in my dorm and they creep me the fuck out. I was laying in bed with the TV on and i saw a dark spot on the ceiling. I got to turn on the light and it's one of those THINGS and it starts RUNNING AWAY with those...those...LEGS...before I got a chance to kill it, and they ALWAYS head for the curtains. I didn't know what the hell they were...we call 'em sprickets. Most disturbing insect ever. Ugh.

The insect I could never appreciate is the praying mantis. Aside from looking absolutely scary as hell, the female bites the head off the male after he's done his duty. ill

I've held one of those in Thailand. It feels like the bristles of a brush on your hand.

Here are a few pics of some bugs that loved me back: biggrin (well, maybe not, but they tolerated me anyway)

In Argentina...

This summer at my parents' house...

Hornets have gotta be fiercest killers in the insect kingdom. The thing didn't even stay to eat the body or anything, no, it just wanted THE HEAD. Probably got a bunch of 'em on pikes back at the nest eek

I hate the same insects too. lol I used to be deathly afraid of grasshoppers....not like the one in your pic. but those huge ones. We lived out in the country and during the summer time, massive sized ones would always spring from the grass. shake

Well, she thinks they have built up a conspiracy against her after all these years. confused As if her name and reputation have filtered down through the centipede pipeline, and now she's forever cursed.
