What kind of songs must be played at your funeral?

A strange question maybe, but what do you want the ones you leave behind to hear?

For me it's:

Definate...
How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore( ofcourse )
Middagoverpeinzing by Herman van Veen
and there are a few songs I keep adding and deleting because there are so many new songs I like.
The Borg... Partypoopers of the galaxy.. ( Medical Hologram )
-------------------------------------------------

..Where is my lovelife.. where can it be?? There must be something wrong with the machinery..

Oh gees! None as I don't plan on being there so to speak... Just plant me about 10 feet under of a beautiful tree....

I have always despised the burial ritual.

Closer by NIN with modified lyrics so the chorus now goes:

"I wanted to fuck you like an animal"

And also the Six Feet Under themesong. Oh, and carnival music with accompanying dancing clowns.

I'm being cremated and my last request is have my ashes scattered at Loch Ness. I'm leaving money for my friends and INVITED family members to throw a big party...and I want the following songs played at some point during the festivities:

"Imagine" by John Lennon
"You Can't Always Get What You Want" by the Rolling Stones

And...

The full-length, 17-minute version of "Love To Love You Baby" by Donna Summer

Neither do I.

Which reminds me that now that I have a dependent, I need to get a will done.

are you gonna eventually get a plot and pre pay for your funeral too? I'd love to do that, but I don't know how I can afford life ins AND a funeral. Maybe someday.....

I don't wanna be buried. It's all too expensive and I am dead, what do I care about having a fancy box?

Reuse whatever can be reused in me (organ donation) and then just burn me up.

I want a big, loud party with lots of laughing (and at least some crying, let's be real, fuckers) and all kinds of music ~ including plenty of Prince, of course. I want everyone who knew me to get together Irish-style and drink and tell stories all night and celebrate still having each other. One of the nice things about when a loved one passes on is how dear it makes those you still have around.

Everyone who knows me well, knows that I have strong faith in the phenomenon of ancestors and loved ones on the "other side" staying near us and looking out for us. So I want everyone to dance and smile, knowing that they've got one badass Mistress looking out for them, and that I'm resting happily with my godfather and other angels.
