Alright, who's sick enough to brave the crowds today?

I know some of you just HAD to go get your one dollar spindle of CDR's and 20 bullshit dvd players. All I ask is that you cop to it.

As for myself, I'd rather shoot myself with a bazooka in the face than try to navigate through those mental wards also known as the retail stores today.

So yeah, who did it and what did you buy?

Even if didn't have two nickels to rub together and was starving to death, I'd take Door# Bazooka before I'd fight those savages from the tribe "Cheapskato"*

Our Thanksgiving's in Oct., but it sounds like today is a Boxing Day-like sitch down there.

You would have to lock me in a box to get me outside the house on that day. And by "box"? I mean "casket".

(tombstone "Are we in a fucking Costco?! mad :dustycough:).

i went to Williamsburg outlets at Midnight, got to the exit exactly at midnight then got stuck in traffic....for 3 hours!!!! pissed

from the lightfoot exit to the outlets should be a 15 minute drive was full of stop and go traffic from midnight until 3am. It was krazy.

I shopped from 3am to 5am, then got home at 6am took a shower and got here to work at 7:15am.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

My buddy stood out in the cold at 5:30am waiting in line and got a laptop dirt cheap at Best Buy the day after Thanksgiving two years ago, only to find out the thing was a total lemon. The DVD drive went bad, it's out of warranty, and they can't get parts for it.

I have all kinds of coupons for $10, $15, $25 off at places like Macy's, Bath & Body Works, Penney's, Sharper Image, etc... Not to mention I can cash in on all my rewards points on my credit cards. Plus they run good sales all the way up to Christmas anyhow.

I can save just as much already, no need to go through that hell today.

Me and my sisters do it every year, then go for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. It's our tradition.

It is ridiculous though. I got to Target at 6:05 a.m. (they opened at 6), and the USB port thingy I wanted was gone already. It was regularly $29.99, on sale for $7.97.

I went to Staples, stood in line from 4:45am to 5:30am, got the 485va battery backup for $20 to protect my server from this town's electrical hiccups that occur every now and then, got a 200GB Maxtor hard drive for $20 after rebate, and got out of there by 5:45am. Then I ventured to Radio Shack to purchase an external hard drive enclosure for $20, then over to JCPenney to buy my wife a new shirt, then over to Sam's Club for their free continental breakfast. I was back home by 8am, and hardly had to deal with ANY lines besides the one waiting to get into Staples. biggrin

The hard drive enclosure and hard drive is going to be my new USB drive. Plug and play! I'll have my entire music collection on there plus tons of other space. Sure, it's a bit bigger than a thumb drive, but getting 200 times the amount of space... man, having to get used to carrying something the size of a small book instead will be worth it! And Staples was selling a 60GB external hard drive for $40, the same amount I spent on the enclosure and hard drive combined. razz

I just got back from shopping about ten minutes ago. I went to best buy and got myself a 19 inch LDF HDTV for 199$ for my bedroom! I bought a shitload of clothes for my sis and nephew at Hollister and American Eagle Outfitters. I bought my dad a case of 2 buck chuck from Trader Joes. I got my mom 4 pounds of chocolate from see's candy. Finally I bought two 20 dollar gift cards to Target for who I deem the Offensive and Defensive MVP of our playoff game tonight. The crowds were not bad at all! Only at best buy was it nuts!

Not only does stuff like that happens, but my aunt told me that most stores don't even have what they're advertising or they only put out a couple of them just to get people in the stores in the first place. As for those dvd-r/cd-r spindles, you can usually catch really good deals on those throughout the year. That's what I do.
