So everyone, what are your Thanksgiving Plans?

I am waking up buttcrack early to finish making some fresh bread. I will then feed the homeless at my church from 8 - 9 A.M. From there I will be going to football practice from 10 - 11:30 w/ 2 dozen pumpkin and pecan pies from Marie Callendars for my players. After feasting on pie I will take off to My cousins house for a couple of hours and then go to my best friends house with his family and watch football and eat till I pass out. Both of my parents are up in Seattle this year where I would be but my team made the playoffs and actually won, so it drastically altered my Thanksgiving plans. What are you all doing?

Baked the pies, breads, cookies and sweets tonight. Will be getting up at 6 to put the turkey in and cooking the rest of the dinner and shopping at a certain store that is actually open tomorrow! *yay*...

My mom is driving down to spend the holiday with the kids, Shawn and I... I will enjoy her company as always!

Friday... it's the early bird sales... or not. Depends on how we feel!

Some sales really look worth it this year... if you can put up with the smelly crowd and if they actually stock more than twelve!

I'm going to my fiance's mom and dad's house. She's never made anything I didn't like. I'm sick, but I WILL EAT DAMMIT! And I will eat in copious amounts. Then, hopefully I can catch a nap, and then drive back here to our house (1.5 hours away) so Alex can go to bed to get up and go to work in the night.
This one's for you.

Eat some more.

Me and my two year old son and three year old daughter got up at 4am...god knows why - they both woke up with the giggles bouncing on me...we got up and I stuffed the turkey bird and when I got done I looked proudly at my masterpiece and asked them how it looked - they both looked at each other and then looked at me and started laughing and said it was a poopy bird and they weren't going to touch it!!

Now they are crashed out again and I'm exhausted because the 1 year old and the five year old are ready to go!!!

But....the house is starting to smell good! Time to stink it up with a big ass pot of collard greens and jowls!

Happy Turkey Day Everyone!

Should we Finns and other Europeans celebrate for some reason the day when Abraham Lincoln gave a turkey to the Indians?
