before breakfast, i have some apple cider vinegar and blackstrap molasses in a glass of water - i've gotten used to the taste, and it's very good for all sorts of things.

then i usually have some german whole grain bread

toasted, with peanut butter. drool

and of course tea or coffee with soy milk.

not a lot of variety in my breakfast, unless my husband makes hash browns or pancakes.

I also drink ACV but Ive never tried it with molasses. That might be something to try. I drink it straight and have grown accustomed to the taste.

I like unsweetened peanut butter on Ezekial bread or a tablespoon of peanut butter in my oatmeal.

most people add honey to the acv, but i prefer blackstrap molasses because it has iron, calcium and potassium, which i don't get much of in my regular diet.

what has been your experience with acv? i know my skin is better, and i feel better in general when i drink it regularly.

I definitely notice a difference in my skin. I've always had nice skin but it seems to be even clearer. No matter how tired I was the night before, in the morning I looked refreshed like I've barely even slept and little to no congestion after I've had dairy.

I've heard of someone who takes it 3x a day and feels better than ever.

Molasses has is very fortifying and I haven't had it in so long. Lately I've been using something called agave nectar.

It comes from a plant but I don't think it has the nutritional value of molasses. I prefer it over honey because it doesnt have a strong flavor like some honeys and it breaks down easily in liquid and doesn't crystallize. It has a low glycemic index as well. I use a dash for tea or cereal and its not heavy for baking.

I eat almost the exact same thing for breakfast every weekday (and some weekend) mornings. Low fat yogurt, low fat/low sugar granola and either fresh strawberries or a banana. I do love my breakfast, but I like some variety now and again too.

What do you eat? I'm looking for ideas! lol

Similar to yours, I always have plain yogurt sweetened with honey or sometimes real maple syrup if I have it, raw almonds, walnuts, some type of berry (if they're in season, otherwise banana) and a handful of bran cereal mixed in. And one cup of coffee.

I also used to always have whole wheat toast with a little bit of peanut butter on it as well, but lately I just can't eat as much for breakfast. hmmm I used to be able to just stuff myself in the morning. lol

Once and a while I'll have this cereal here called Brinta, which is sort of like a cross between Cream of Wheat and babyfood oatmeal lol with soymilk and strawberries.

Peanut butter & Jelly on toast and OJ or Coffee if I get up early enough.

I use this portuguese bread from my bakery cuz it toasts up real nice. Then Smuckers Natural Peanut Butter (chunky) and Smuckers grape jam.

I tried out some homemade peanut butter from our local fruit farms and health stores, but theirs all suck because they don't roast the peanuts enough, and it looks real light. The Smuckers one is nice and dark. smile

Usually on weekends I'll splurge and cook the good old greasy breakfast with bacon, and homefries and eggs and stuff.

No. The jam always slides off the cheese. It makes such an awful mess. biggrin
