I wouldn't wanna miss it either if I were you nod. I just love it when people have their own individual style. If that means that they are brave enough to use bright colours it's even better IMO lol. We have our living room painted in purple and most of the furniure is in zebra design. I know that many people who come and visit don't like it at all, but I don't care, I just love it lol . And my boyfriend wouldn't have chosen it himself but he thinks it's cool as well wink.

Our house looks like a funhouse. lol Every room in our house has a "theme" actually. nod My husband just lets me do whatever I want with it, and change it when I want. He really trusts my choices, and it's something he never would do himself. If he lived alone, he'd have a mattress on the floor, white walls, and a huge stereo system and tv and that's it. rolleyes

I am sure your house looks amazing nod! Sounds very interesting, what themes do you have?
I so can relate. Especially the part about the matress and the white walls sounds familiar rolleyes lol. 99% of the ideas for our apartment come from me, like when I use pieces of furniture for something they haven't been designed for, paint them differently etc. But my boyfriend has the right to veto lol. Thank God he hardly uses it lol.
With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

Well, we have the 50s kitchen, the forest/fossil rock bedroom (green), the guest bedroom (which I call the "Crack House" because it tends to become the room where we throw all our crap) which is the "India Room" (mustard yellow/orange with fabrics and trinkets from India that is actually becoming the Rock Room because of its framed albums and posters lol the Mexican dining room (red walls, oilcloth, fruit, and Mexican paintings and mirrors), and then the living room is sort of Indonesian mixed in with a 60s vibe.

Oh and the bathroom is the Sly Stone room. nod The walls are covered with 45's of Sly and the Family Stone. lol I painted the grout in between the tiles in there metallic silver (God that took forever! doh! ) and there's a small disco ball as well.

So are you gonna change all the other decorations except the look for the hallway or will it be mostly adjustments to your new place?
And to the thread starter: I am sorry if I am a little bit off-topic redface.

I don't know yet. It depends on the house we find (haven't found one yet) and whether it's in the States or in Holland again. nod We might move to the States I think. woot!

Ok, due to some nagging from others about how I don't have any "new" pics, I went to the trouble of having these taken last night just as I was about to go out the door to go out. The second one looks like it was taken over 30 years ago or something. confuse Don't know why it's so crap.

Me too. I found a huge roll of strange material (like carpet underlay but..not) when I was wee in my granny's house and cut out He Man's clothes out of it, the kind crossed dungaree thing he wears. I can really only remember seeing the last hope I'd make him proud drain from my father's teary eye when I paraded downstairs like it was the greatest thing. I made Panthro dungaree things from that roll of stuff too, but that's another story.

Panthro was the BA Baracus of the Thundercats, a typically 80's ignorantly racist notion of a black man who is musclebound, short-tempered and good with machines - especially cars and trucks. Even though he was purple, his voice and badass demenour were total hood.
