Then they are wasting the choices they wanted to have. Equality my ass.

How are they wasting their choice if they are making it! lol The point is that women aren't mandated to the kitchen and mandated to birth offspring and mandated to stay in the home. They have the option to be the woman they want to be and hopefully they are staying home for the right reasons and not out of some outdated and patriarchal expectation that a woman's place is barefoot and pregnant.....

They are wasting the choice they have. They won the right to not have to be home barefoot and pregnant and having food on the table and then turn around and choose to be that. They should be out in the world doing everything that men do. Go after the equality you want.

You don't even get it. The feminist movement didn't seek to abolish any roles that women had, they chose to expand them. If a woman doesn't need to be out in the workforce to provide for her family, one she chose to have, then she should have every right to fill a traditional role if she so wants. It's not a waste, certainly not for the kids it isn't.

And the women are not taking advantage of those expansions. It's too bad.

Why aren't you lamenting how men aren't taking advantages of their ability to have their wife work while they stay home and take care of the house and children?

Only because we were not talking about men. There is nothing wrong with men choosing to stay at home and the woman works. I would never do it but if the men want to do that then fine.

Because they fought for the equality and choices they claimed they wanted and then did nothing with it when they got it. It's a waste.

Those women might not have been part of the fight but they benefitted from it because our society accepts that women can be a homemaker, a wife, a mother, career minded, a leader..... They have a choice and exercising the choice that is right for her is not a waste. Your comprehension skills are glaringly absent lol

I cannot stand how goddamned stupid you are lol Society accepts that women can be whoever they want, including a homemaker. A woman is only wasting her choices if she's making ones that aren't right for her.

Any time you say a woman should only do "this" you are saying she's not free to make a decision. Saying all women must now work outside the home even though she may choose to do differently is just as oppressive as saying she must stay in the home. You say you want to do away with gender roles, but really, you just want to set up your own role for women to fit into instead of lettng them choose the path they want to take. I understand you think it odd that women fought for the choice to do all sorts of things and then would choose to stay home, have children and allow her partner to take care of the financial aspect of things. But not all women are choosing that. I don't know statistics off-hand, but I'd hazard a guess that most american women aren't choosing that. Hell, if you want to have kids, most families cannot afford to only have one adult working. We just want everyone to have the same opportunities.
