Ill look into that but basically I was told they would do what I am about to do and then come back for it.... and either way I am going to know about it.... and to any extent I can't sleep at night I am getting so wiggy... I blame the damn city in the first place... Orange county trash workers went on a 3 week strike..... and guess who came to dinner when they did?

you sure it's a rat?? rats are very destructive - like teeth marks and such

if you mean the spring loaded ones i've only used the mouse sized ones

set the bait on the platform
pull the spring back and the trip hook rests on the edge of the bait platform

but you have to watch your fingers
as when setting the trap you can set the spring off
and your thumb gets crunched sad

or you could set glue traps
i haven't been successful with them but others have confused

a rat?? really?? sad

My neighbour used to have mice. She phoned me upset and scared. I came over grabbed her broom and opened the cupboard door. It looked at me and I looked at it and I gave it a few wacks over its head. Then it was dead.

I asked her to get me a plastic bag and instead she gave me a zip lock bag giggle

Next day I went and bought some mouse poison. That got rid of them.

I caught the one coming in from the garage that way..... but he escaped it several times before finaly getting it.... It is climbing up and chewing on my pottery barn wood. mad It also climbed into the window box and ate half of my plant I brought back from Ireland that I was so proud of.

where is it? the garage?

they say to set mouse traps perpendicular to the wall
where they are likely to run - keeping the bait side against the wall

Just for clarity: This isnt some gigantic sewer rat... I live in a hilly area to enjoy the peace and quiet that it provides 3o minutes outside the city proper..... What I have is wood rats they are far smaller but equally unwelcome.....

last fall i had mice in my other house

opened the cupboard and saw the little fucker neutral
i just closed the cupboard door and walked away squirming

bought a bunch of traps
caught two of them

the freaky part is when you hear the trap go off in the middle of the night
but i would never go check until the morning.

then i threw out everything that couldn't be bleached and scalded from the cupboard lol

worship to muse for dealing with a rat!!
