Not really, it just never really healed and my body decided to push the jewelry out. It happens from time to time, I'd seen someone who's tragus did that before. My body just pushed the jewelry further and further towards the outside of the skin, if I'd have left it in much longer it would have pushed it all the way out. It's been a few years now, I'm just worried that if it did it once, it may again and I don't want a mangled looking nipple.
I may call my piercer to discuss.

This is good info, I've thought about getting my nipples pierced and another part of my body () but I'm still undecided, the pain factor plays a very big role. I got another tattoo not long ago and the pain from getting that is still very fresh in my mind.

Yep - I had one ripped partially out during an "interesting" long weekend in New Orleans 15 years ago. No way it was going to heal with such a bad tear so had to remove it.
Over the years I had my nipples pierced 20 times for various reasons - at one time I had double horizontal piercings, but they pinched too much so went back to one in each. I've had them so long now that I don't even think about them. They are just part of me. I only notice them when I take them out now, and they are well enough established that I can leave them out for aweek and slip my 3.2mm rings back in no problem.

I had one done a few years back and the pain in the second that it took for the guy to push the needle through was the most intense pain I've ever felt...then just like that it was over....

Mine healed well and I used to wash it with Dial disinfecting gel....the only time that it hurt was while doing pushups during physical training a couple days after I got it.....my dog tags latched on to the ring and pulled....NOT COOL!!! I eventually had to take it out when I went to a professional development school, as they weren't authorized for wear while in uniform.....

My experience was kinda bad at first. They put the wrong length of bar on my nipples. I used to commute to San Francisco on a train (1 1/2 hour ride).There I was bouncing up and down in sooo much pain. I went back and they changed them. I was fine after that.

Don't have them pierced...but have been giving serious thought to it..... I have tats...and will be getting more....the piercings will come though...
