Ok, ew....but facinating.

Tell me more!

lol my sister was asking for my popcorn ball recipe that i always do at halloween
and mentioned something about someone using jello powder to make their balls colored

that kind of grossed me out but i thought the unsweetened koolaid drink mixes would serve the same purpose - without the gelatin

it smells, looks and tastes great! smile

oooo, i've always wanted to make popcorn balls. can i have the recipe you use?

Hello!

Tell us about yourself.

Not much to tell.

I have a computer.
I live on earth.
I like babies and Toblerone, tho not in the same dish.

And I am currently fascinated as to why there are 2 choices for the whistle smiley.

Was one just not enough for you people?!?!?

For once, I can actually understand where you are coming from on this one. nod Payback/Revenge isn't a good thing, but when you do it, it gives you this feeling that justice has been served.

Exactly. Even though it wasn't a really nice thing to do. At the time it felt great. I feel a little bad now though.

12 cups popped popcorn in a large bowl (plastic works better than metal)
(remove the duds and half popped hard shit - you don't want anyone to break a tooth)

in a medium sized saucepan
over medium high heat

melt 1/4 or 1/3 cup margarine
add 1/2 cup granulated sugar
and 1/2 cup white corn syrup
dash of salt
splash of vanilla (or a sprinkling of koolaid mix biggrin )
1/2 tsp of cream of tartar

keep stirring, let it boil for a minute or so
you know it's ready when it starts to fall off the spoon a little thicker

remove from heat
add 1/2 tsp baking soda
mixture will froth and double in size

pour over popcorn and mix thoroughly
grease hands and form into balls

if you use brown sugar and golden corn syrup
you will get carmel colored balls

if you boil too long your balls will be rock hard
too short they won't stick together well
so you might have to try a few batches till you get it right smile
doveShe couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay dove
