Birth control is man made.
I think we should stick to drugs that are God Given, Thank You.
Pull n Pray works best.

Abstinence. Well, we only do it about once or twice a week in this house.

As for the whole, man-made thing... Well, I tend to fear the side effects of pills and such. I'm always scared of altering things from their natural course. sigh I like jimmy caps.
This one's for you.

I've heard good things from mothers who birthed naturally, and they said the hormones take over so it is overall not painful, just a lot of work (ie. "pushing").

i used a epidural with my first too and my last was without any medication whatso ever-my last birth without medication was very painful. The pushing doesn't hurt, its the contractions and opening up 10 centimeters thats a bitch.

my whole life I didn't want children. now I'm hormone crazy and have decided maybe I do. but I don't want to be pregnant, I don't think.

Alex insists I'll want one eventually. He says, "I'll sneak one in."

Ugh. Pig. biggrin

But sometimes I get a little hormonal and wonder what our offspring would look like. I don't really want to reproduce. I think what I end up craving mostly is some sort of really permanent bond besides a legal document. By the same token, I hate the idea cos then all of his attention wouldn't be on me. rolleyes

awww
if you've given that much though to it , then you should at least have one baby.

Not for a long time. biggrin I'm still young. I want to enjoy it with minimal baby screams.

but if you have one, I feel you ought to have two. So that way your kid has a companion.

or you could just have play-time friends, you know your friends kid. That way you can just have two for a few hours and give the child back when it gets to be a bit much

My only friend with kids now has a 4 year old who is fucking insane. She's never disciplined the lad a day in his life I don't think, so. Yeah. I love the kid, b ut you're right. About two hours or so and I'm done with his little ass for a couple of months it seems like.

A little dab of that kid will do ya.

Her baby isn't so bad though.

me too!

that last kid nearly flew across the room he was born so fast!

I rang up the midwife after one contraction to tell her I was on my way, and she was like, what's the big hurry! and I said it's the third kid, and the day before I was already 4cm dilated at my obgyn checkup, and she was like "OK, if you want" so we came in and she got the big ball to sit on, told me the doc was on his way. He did an internal and told my mother-in-law to get a growsuit ready for max cause he was on his way.

And yes, it HURT LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER!!!!!

But after was SOOOOO nice mushy I was in heaven just me and my maxie, we were left alone to get to know each other. I don't know how the master could have just left to go get dinner just THEN, but I was not really thinking about practicalities.

First kid was emergency c-section (he was posterior and brow presentation) so he got stuck and they had to yank him out. Then the wound got infected and I had to go back to hospital sad (6 months before I dared to have sex!!! eek )

Second kid was induced, epidural, episiotomy, vacuum extraction blahblah the works. (4 months before boff )

Third one, no time for anything, small tear, but we were at it at 6 weeks no probs! lol

Got to say that when I had my daughter a few years ago, I did it with gas and air only... and yes IT HURT!! But at the end of the day, the serious pain and fear lasted a few hours.

The tearing and cutting wasn't so good...and agreeing to a student midwife to sew me up was a bit foolish...

But I have beautiful daughter who without her my family wouldn't be complete...and I was married only 18months when I had her and I was young...

I think the individual knows when the time is right.... but if you are talking this much about it, then it probably is the right time for you...

I have some superficial reasons for not wanting any babies (eg, stretch marks, baby weight, fear of ugly baby I'd be embarrassed to take in public) and then there's just straight fear of pain.

Please pray
