HBO:Thread what do you think of the way HBO Hypes up it's network? do you think they have the best shows anywhere on TV or are they over hyped? also since they put so much on there Shows have they fallen off to you with bringing in Movies?? thoughts on HBO: mistermaxxx | |

They have good boxing... that is all that matters...

always gotta have HBO. i've gone without Showtime for a while, but never drop HBO. the boxing, concerts, Dennis Miller...plus the stuff they don't run anymore, like Dream On and Larry Sanders...the Starz/Encore networks are shit, the sound is always crappy, and Showtime only does boxing, no concerts or comedy specials.
plus the Sopranos comes back on the 15th of September... | |

Vargas is not a great boxer but he is a good puncher and has a lot of heart. Vargas took a hell of a knockout against Trinidad while De La Hoya actually beat him but was too cautious and lost a controversial decision. De La Hoya was able to keep Trinidad away and was able to out box him, although he turned it into a track meet for the last four or five rounds trying to coast on his clear early lead... it backfired, as he WOULD have been the first man to beat Trinidad. Bernard Hopkins went ahead and had to knock Trinidad out later though. By the way, neither DLH or Vargas want ANY part of Hopkins. Fernando Vargas has fought his whole career at Light Middleweight, so his power is natural at this weight, while De La Hoya's power might not be as great due to his moving up five weight divisions. Oscar De La Hoya has been a World Champion in the following divisions: Super Featherweight Lightweight Light Welterweight Welterweight Light Middleweight An interesting fight and one that I am anxiously awaiting. The boxingat around the "middle weight" categories always seems to be the best and most hotly contested imho.

Boxing is so  ing. Especially when Don King is involved.
You see the guy beating the hell out of the other boxer, better punches, more movement. And what do they do they give the bout to the worst of the two. But I do like De La Hoya! As far as HBO, I like to watch OZ, and taxicab confessions when I do watch TV. But I very seldom watch tv. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^
