That is what pops up when I try to close out of a program.

either that or if you have IE7 drop it to IE 6 and this has helped in some cases.

Oh, so I DO have a virus. Well I'm DLing all this shit now, so hopefully it works.

Download and install Spybot. Make sure you get the latest updates, then use the "immunize" feature of the program, then do a complete scan with it. It may require you to reboot to finish removing some of the spyware.

AdAware might not have caught everything.

AVG Antivirus is a good free antivirus.
