every country has their simple comfort foods - nothing wrong with beans on toast, marmite on toast, bacon sandwiches and the like. I eat beans on toast here quite a bit too.

Ok, I didn't really think that through.
I must admit, one of my favourite things about the US was the food, but for meat eaters Britain is easily its match. Good ole cooking the way mum does it is pure heaven. I can't wait! . [Edited 11/14/06 17:43pm] | |

(we couldn't of course, until we got the visa). And fuck me if we didn't leave it to the last minute. 8 more days and we'll be there. Still need to buy Mon a bag and some warm clothes, get my hair cut, get hers dyed, buy some hot wax for removing some unwanted hair, buy a couple of tooth whitening kits, give up smoking, settle up some bills, sort out leaving money here for Mon's parents, buy my father a birthday present, see my best friend before he flies to Singapore and lord knows what else! | |
