Hi everyone - I know we're still in our "honeymoon period" with me as moderator so I thought I'd save all of us a lot of hassle and let you guys know what sort of stuff I look out for. The less work I have to do, the happier I am so if you can play nice so I don't have to be mister heavy-handed megalomaniac moderator, that would be peachy!

Stuff I look out for:

• Posts that just plain break the rules, as outlined by Ben previously.
  
• Confrontational and insulting posts. Argue away, shout as much as you like, but please keep the personal insults and confrontational posts to private email or Orgnotes. Stuff like "You're an asshole" or "Everything you say is horseshit" don't exactly leave much room for discussion
  
• Stuff that people bring to my attention.
  

I'll do my best to moderate fairly and even-handedly. A moderators decision is final and all that, there's no appeal process, but if do feel aggrieved by something I do with my moderator hat on, please let me know and I promise I won't tell you to sod off. Well, I'll try not to!

Just for further clarification: this forum is now moderated. Get used to it. This means that stuff you post might get removed or locked, based on moderator decisions. If that happens, I'll send you a polite little Orgnote explaining why.

There's no appeal process. If you don't like the fact that the site is now moderated, go find another site to post on. The efforts made by Ben, Matt and others (and more recently myself) is because we want the site to be a more friendly and open place for all of us. In an ideal world, I'd have nothing to do but unfortunately there are plenty of people who are intent on ruining the Prince.org experience for everyone else.

If you have a problem with a decision I made, by all means send me an Orgnote. I'm a reasonable, friendly person and I'm happy to discuss anything with you, although I won't reverse a decision.
