I got broken in to this weekend when I was away. So after a 3 hour dash up the motorway I am coming to terms with what has happened. Yes high value items have been taken. But now for the first time ever I don't feel comfortable living alone. I can't even sleep in my own bed.

It took my Kitty 4 hours to come out from under the couch she was so scared.

But worse then all of that is that is the fact that they have stolen things with high sentimental value. You can never put a price on that kind of stuff. Please make sure you have things like that in a safe place. It was all I had of passed relatives and my childhood.

One good thing... they did not take any prince cds

One of my former boss's home got robbed. Every room in their home was a mess. They felt so violated.

Maybe it's time to get window bars and double locks. Talk to the police, they can advise you how to burgler proof your place. Get in touch with Victims Services of the police in your area, they can counsel you.

btw thank god they did not take your Prince cds, and lock those up!

Not taking the Prince cds is proof that they have no taste and should be shot

This is horrible! Don't know what to say!

Poor you! And now? Filed a report with the police?

My brother came to feed my Kitty and found the house like it was. He called the police whilst Jon and I were driving back. The police came and tried to get prints but they used rubber gloves.

Am sure things will be better after some sleep but I only got about 1 hour last night. Jon will have to go home today so I imagine it will be even worse tonight.
