I've got selective memory. Sometimes I appear smart if I use technical jargon with ease but they are so specific to a topic that they become less relevant later on and you just sound foolish.

Intelligence can only measured at the time and situation that it is needed the most.

So I will say that sometimes I am intelligent and other times, I may not be very intelligent. After all, I am only human. We all make mistakes.
I may not like the man.
I may not like his music after the mid 90s.

I respect his current artistry...I just don't like him.

No hate.

I feel like I'm not very intelligent in an academic setting but rather intelligent in the "real world".

I get told that I'm intelligent pretty frequently in both the real world and in academic settings, but then again I also get told that I' m beautiful with the same frequency. shrug I don't think that either mean very much.

All I know is that I'm not a genius but I'm far from a stupid idiot.

I have a good combination of book smarts and street smarts, but still have much to learn. On a 1 - 10 scale I'd give myself a 8 on a good day and a 7 on a bad day. The ability I have that best measures my intelligence is knowing my surroundings and who I'm with. If I'm around a bunch of hooligans, it doesn't pay off to sound too eloquent or else you will get ostracized. If I am with educated colleagues then my flair for the vernacular comes in handy!

If somebody makes the right choice it means they are intelligent or that they made an intelligent choice?

So I will say that sometimes I am intelligent and other times, I may not be very intelligent. After all, I am only human. We all make mistakes.

What if an extremely intelligent person, lets say, Einstein made a bad decision in a given situation, does that mean he's not intelligent?

Ok, I'll answer honestly.

I don't know. I know I test well. I tested at genius levels when I was very young. And was placed in special programs and classes all through school. I don't know this means much, though. I sometimes feel like I can appear smarter than I really am to people. It's not that hard to fake, really. And there are always people around I think are way more intelligent than me.
I remember things quite easily. And I synthesize information quickly. And have been told I have a very logical and analytical mind. I feel like I can pick up just about anything and 'get it'.
But I often don't. I got lazy about just about everything when I was a teenager. And I haven't thought about it much since. I've got potential, yes indeed. But I don't do much with it. lol

I think there are all sorts of different types of intelligence. Some are easier to discern than others.

Not really.

I'm knowledgeable in certain aspects of my job and career. I have semi-decent vocabulary, and I cant sometimes dish up a funny joke. But I'm about only fair to midland. I really heavily on my Asianness to make folks think I'm smarter than I am. 2the9s, to me represents an intelligent person, sans the fact the wiring is all out of whack and produces mediocre results. shrug
