I consider myself to be intelligent because my reactions are pretty quick. Except for physics and chemistry (the scientific kind that is), I know pretty soon what I'm reading/hearing about or seeing (in some way). Still, I don't put these observations in the centre of the world. Many things might be valid, or interesting, but things that are true and objective are hard to be found.

However, I have a very bad memory. This is a sad thing. I might be quick in reacting to this statement, but in two minutes I will have forgotten what I have read.

Of course, compared to those geniuses like Einstein, Stephen Hawkings or Marcel Proust, (and many others), no one is intelligent...but I think that is not a very useful comparison.
