I call someone up because I want to say hello and talk to them, but I clam up. Guess I need to make a list of topics to discuss before even picking up the phone.

If I want to talk to someone, I just have to will them to using ESP or something. Or AIM, 'cause then you can abruptly end conversations and it's never awkward!

Lots of times I do just that, and I hear, "How come you never call me?" My mom is good at that, if I don't call her over the weekend, she'll call me. The first thing out of her mouth is, "I thought you were going to call me last weekend." Cracks me up when she says that.

The problem with my spoken conversations is that I feel like the other person is doing 90% of the talking, and I'm on the other end saying, "Uh huh. I see."

I'm the total opposite, I never shut up, whether it be IM, phone or in person. Awkward silence scares me.
