Telling the truth really does set you free. There's no better way to live with peace of mind as much of the time as possible than to decide early on to be an honest person.

If somebody you know who never calls you all of a sudden calls you up, they either want something from you , or they're calling to brag their ass off.
You should kill them. | |

There's nothing wrong with jacking off a puppy. Unless it's a pug. They just get too excited.

I'm a terrible friend.
I've been avoiding my best friends phone calls all nite, cuz she was getting her dogs biopsy results back today, and I just don't know what to say if it's bad news. I'm awful.

I remember, I met my former boss in Houston once. He wasn't my boss anymore at that time, but he still worked in our overall division. I was just making polite conversation with him in his cube, and asked , "so, how have things been". Well, his brother-in-law and good friend committed suicide, he got a bad ranking on his review that day, his mother's barn caught fire the week before, and a proposal that he had been working on for almost 6 weeks got not only rejected but skewered at a board meeting. He broke down and cried in front of me for about 10 minutes, with me just kind of standing there not knowing what to say but to say it was going to be o.k. very tense day.

If you're hungry, go out and eat.
Even if you just had dinner 10 minutes ago

(Btw, I am terrible, I totally cracked up at "his moms barn burnt down" ) someone I know (actually an orger) came to my work and told me her mother was ill, and she broke down and cried in front of reception. I didn't know what to do, I am just so a wrong person for that kind of thing. I wish I had something to say, at least something meaningful

I find it hard to feel empathy the way I think people need to feel it if I don't know them very well.
