Democrats are interested in helping the people of the country, Republicans are interested in helping business and wealth owners. Democrats support things like universal healthcare, an increase in the minimum wage. Democrats tend to want to help single mothers, not punish them. Republicans are interested in protecting capital, not people. They vote for tax breaks for the ultra rich but fight giving the poorest people in the country a boost in the mininimum wage. It tells you so much about what that party cares about.
Bob Casey is Santorum's challanger and if you are interested in the issues above, he's the candidate that deserves your vote 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

fuckin WAAAAHHHHH now i am confusted confused what do you mean fucking wah? What is wrong with you? Is that not a valid point? Not trying to be a downer, but it may be too late to get a vote in, but for next time I would just go online and get a quick recap of the candidate's platform to see what they're all about. It's ok....I'm sure everyone who votes don't know everything there is to know about politics. I don't, but I make sure I know exactly what I'm voting for. bottom line luv is that it's YOUR vote.
supa doesn't live in your state so whether you vote or not does not have any direct effect on him it does have an effect on you and your children because whomever wins will govern your state for the next four years (correct the canadian if i am wrong ) for that reason it is good that you know who the person is that you are voting for. and i don't mean name or democrat or republican. i mean the character of the person, because there are good and bad people of all political stripes. yes, asking the questions is great asking the questions is empowering! i would just want you to vote because YOU wanted to voice your opinion about who is best served to hold elected office. and if not this election, there are two years to ask more questions before the election in 2008!
