Yoga: who does it? Does anyone do yoga? I would love to start doing it. Has it been beneficial to you?

Ex-Moderator | I do yoga saturday mornings. I've only been doing it for a few months. The first few times were really hard. Oh, who am I kidding, it's still really hard. But I don't notice so much anymore. And I LOVE how I feel after class. Better than crack! |

I don't even need to go to sweat torture yoga. Just regular and I'm sweating the whole time. It's hard to hold downward dog when your hands are slipping off the mat. |

I think a class is helpful in that you have someone showing you what to do and what's mainly helpful is you're usually in a studio with mirrors everywhere, so you can see if you're holding the poses correctly. It puts you in the right mind set and you have models to look at as well. After you've got some of the basics down, I think it would be wonderful to do alone, though. |

I love yoga. It's the most complete workout I've ever done. Everything else neglects (or even hurts) some part of your body, with the possible exception of swimming.
Classes are better, but it's easier to do dvd's more often and in private My girlfriend & I do Wailana (she's really goofy, but we like her a lot) and Rainbeau Mars (she's sexy and young, but good, too) Rodney Yee is pretty good, but honestly I prefer following women (shocking, I know!) My Legacy

I love yoga, I've several DVD’s that are very good last Xmas I picked up a yoga basics DVD gift pack for someone it came with the block, belt, and DVD, I already had the workout pad and yes, I did go back to get another one to replace the gift I kept.

I've recently started classes and love it. My health hasn't been too good this year and I felt like I really needed something that was physical and takes concentration too. The choice was between yoga and Pilates,,,yoga won out this time but in a few months I may just do yoga at home and take Pilates classes.
I do feel much better after doing it for a while. I have a once a week class, but practice every day. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"-Dr Seuss
