I used to absolutely love him. I was a fam. I'd only ever listen to Prince and I have about 4 days of Prince music with no repeats so I'd never get tired of him. Now I'm just jaded and his music appears so boring, the lyrics mean so little. I mean - great you're singing about God, Jesus and Love with some fancy-pants metaphors...but it's nothing ground-breaking is it? The best Prince songs are his depressing ones like the Grand Progression. I still love them.
