What's Your Attention Span Like?

Recently I have noticed that I have a really short attention span. It's affecting my work! I get so bored so easily and can't concentrate.

Is it because I drink too much Lucozade? (like Powerade)

Is there something I can do to combat this? Aside from stop drinking Lucozade? lol

biggrin

Eat lots of protein (mainly found in meat). It aids concentration.

Gingko biloba is a great supplement to help you stay alert and focused. I've taken it for years on and off and it's good stuff.

I think it probably is the Lucozade,. I average 1.5 bottles a day now lol Keeps me going though, this is a tough job! Its either that or coffee confused But I think sugar is bad for this sort of thing...

It shouldn't be coffee. Drink tea with no sugar. It's slow-release caffeine that's so beneficial.

sometimes i think it's not so much what you put into your body (vitamins, coffee, tea, etc.) as much as what you put into your mind. we live in a short-term attention span culture with the internet and cell phones and blah blah etc.

find a long-ass book and try to get through it. rent some three or four-hour movies and literally SIT there for the whole thing. take up meditation, maybe? i think when you can train your mind to stay focused on things that take a while to see through, attention span muscles get stronger.

Dammit Im supposed to be working! I meant to give in to my rubbish attention span for just a minute to post this thread, and Im still here!

What keeps happening is Im studying, trying to focus and then I hit a wall, and I have to think much harder and longer about it.

This is when I org. And that is why I am going to fail neutral

confused Good plan, but I dont have time to watch movies or read books!

Problem explained in previous post wink

Edit, also, my attention spans fine for things like films or books, just hitting walls while studying then giving up....
