Cat's dont get mad, they get even.

I hold my cat close to my body so that my elbow is around her rear end. This prevents escape.

Then I make sure that my forearm is putting pressure down on her back and that I'm holding her very tightly to my body.

Then I use my fingers to pry open her mouth and shove the pill in there.

Then I hold her mouth closed and blow on her nose so that she swallows it.

She's alway struggling and having melodramatic fits so I tell her that I lover and then I tell her to shut up and stop being such a drama queen.

My boy cats is much more laid back about it. I just open his mouth and give him the pill.

are you any better dealing with little humans?

this seems to be a very unpopular option, though i'm finding in my experience that it is quite simple. i think some people just enjoy prying their pets' jaws open.

my cat only used to get dry food (with an OCCASIONAL canned treat on weekends), but when he got sick recently, the doctor gave me medicated wet food that i have to feed him till it runs out. of course, after that, my fatso kitty is going to be expecting canned food every day.
