Well, from your picture it looks like it is longer than shoulder length... how about some choppy layers and bangs... they're back, and you it would work with styling either straight or wavy/curly. Maybe a side-swept bang?

This is my fave. I got my hair cut like this last time, but I never actually DO my hair so ya cant tell.

No, I'd never give a stylist carte blanche. My modeling days and the shit hair they gave me (including dying it to the point of it breaking off to about an inch) ruined my faith in stylists making the decisions.
