I would like to take my hobby of photography to the next level and realise that I need a better camera.

Any recommendations?

Canon EOS series cameras are awesome DSLRs.

Equally are the Nikon D-series cameras.

Do a little research into either and see which one suits you best as they're much of a muchness.

Nikon is always my 1st choice ... then Canon

Here's a picture I took a couple of weeks ago at a nearby park from where I live. I was using just the standard stock lense that comes with the camera, and I had my resolution set on the lowest (smallest) level using .jpeg capture.

If I had used highest resolution, using .raw image, the picture would look much more impressive.

At any rate, you can't beat the Cannon EOS Rebel 2 XT DSLR cameras.

Now I have a dilemma ... but I think I will probably have to go with whichever I can get cheaper.
