So, I didn't get that monitor to work on my computer, but my friend gave me an old computer too. I have no idea how I got it connected to the net, but here it is.







So, can someone recommend a good laptop or something? I need a new computer.

Let me do some research tomorrow... I have seen laptops for next to nothing these days!

What kind of problem are you having with the monitor? It could be that the resolution settings on the computer are too high for the monitor. I have a 15 inch monitor around here like that. It'll do 800x600 but won't do 1024x768 which is what I usually use on all my computers. It could also be that you may need the proper driver for the monitor. Usually, Windows has a driver that will work with all monitors, but I have another monitor that the Windows driver won't work with it and I had to download a driver from the monitor's manufacturer's website.

So, in short, try searching for a different driver and install it if you can find one, and then lower the resolution and give it a shot.

Honestly, the HDD failures you had in the past had nothing to do with it being a Mac. Apple makes the best laptops by far. And the best operating system.

I have no idea what a driver is. And I can't do anything with that PC cause I can't see anything to download anything or lower any resolution. It was hilarious. I was trying to get it to work yesterday and that pc automatically logs me into yahoo and I could hear that someone was IM-ing me and I was able to type back, 'I have no idea who you are or what you ar4e saying. my monitor is messed up! LOL!!'. Karen called me.

In the end all, I NEED a new pc or laptop anyway. I've been getting away with an old crappy thing for far too long.

Kathy and Justin. We went to the Frank Black show at First Ave last night. They got a sitter. Kathy was drunk before the show even started. She had to leave before he even broke for the encore. Which was fine with me, as having been up since 4am, I was exhausted.
