She's gonna next adopt a chinese child, a Eskimo child and a russian child,

bravo for her then. any orphan deserves to be adopted. especially if they come from the armpit of the world.

Africa is not the armpit of the world.

This about something that was done in private and the media caught wind of it and just went nuts. She is talking about it because what is being said about it is a bunch of bullshit (can bullshit be bunched?).

Anyway, anyone that brings the aids epidemic in Africa to the forefront is a-ok with me.

But no matter what she tries to do, no matter how good it may be, she will forever be labeled an attention whore.

She took a camera crew with her, it was her first time in Malawi and apparently she was filming some documentary/video etc, (according to some reports) It was all done in the full glare of the media, hence some of the criticism.
She also said she offered the father financial help to raise the child but he turned her offer down.

...

She seems to have lied her ass off, and is protesting a bit too much. The father was shown the Oprah interview and said he had visited David every week and so had the childs grandmother..and he said his wife did not die of AIDS. Also he was not as sick as she made him out to be.
I thought she had done a good thing, but she has dragged the child to New York to promote her new book..instead of staying at home and bonding with him. She just can't stay out of the spotlight, she lives for her fame.

just because a country is in need of help doesn't make it the armpit of anything. giving money or sending help to another country that is in need is simply helping your fellow human beings. What exactly do you mean? confuse

ground zero for disease, poverty, and crime sounds like the armpit of the earth to me. what are your criteria?

I imagine that's how some Africans feel when there are people out there telling the rest of the world that Africa is in dire need of saving by those on the outside. That's just pride. But it doesn't make it untrue.
