Director Says Actress Professional On Latest Movie

CHICAGO -- Actress Lindsay Lohan has said it before and she's saying it again: She hates her reputation as a party girl.

Lohan complained to Oprah Winfrey on Winfrey's show Tuesday that because she's 20 years old, it shouldn't be "a crime" to go dancing with her friends.

Emilio Estevez, who directs Lohan in the upcoming movie, "Bobby," told Winfrey that Lohan was a professional on the set who showed up on time and turned in "the best work of her life."


Estevez said that the media focuses on allegations of wild-child behavior "because it sells."

In July, James G. Robinson, chief executive officer of Morgan Creek Productions, wrote a letter that went public. He scolded Lohan for her behavior on the set of "Georgia Rule" and doubted her absence was related to heat exhaustion.

The letter said, "We are well aware that your ongoing all-night, heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called 'exhaustion."

If she doesn't want the reputation, then maybe she should stop doing it.

Its not a crime to go dancing all night when you're 20. But if you go out every night, face it, you're a party girl.

I just saw her last night in A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION. She had a small part but she was pretty good.

There are so many rumors about her cocaine use. I heard it from a private source before the rumors started, so it may be true.

she's a talented actress. I have to say that, rumours aside, I'm a Lindsay Lohan fan. She was excellent in 'Mean Girls' and I think that she does a good job in all of her films.

If she's having problems with drug use, I hope that she can get the help that she needs. It would be a shame to see all of her talent go to waste.

I saw "Mean Girls" in the Theatre, and it didn't seem extraordinary at all, it was okay. And she just seems like a run of the mill actress to me, I haven't seen anything that made me sit up....

The Devil Wears Prada seemed much better than Mean Girls, including the lead actress!

I think you have to be a girl to really appreciate 'Mean Girls'. the Devil Wears Prada has more of a ...um...pan gender appeal. And the lead actress went to my college for a while.

People would not have a problem with her partying if it did not affect her work. But it has. Maybe not on the Estivez movie but on a few other ones.
