I never saw a movie that hit the MEN in the audience so hard. A very unique movie in that it taps into masculine fatherhood emotions on an intense level for some guys. One of my favorite movies.

Ur young kids would dig it, particually if u have girls (which i know u dont ). "Iron giant" is another movie that is unassuming like "fox...". You do not think it will be much of a film, but that has heart aswell.

This is an old one (before star wars anyway). Its hippy ideals are ok with me, preserving nature and all that. In this case, its set way into the future, and the last rainforest is part of the spaceship.... Anyway, as a little kid, it may me cry. I think this film is obscure though? Its ending is so sad in a way.

I can't believe I forgot that one! - the coronation scene - Eowyn's best line: "I am no man" both get me every time I watch it, no matter how hard I try. The scene that gets me is when Pippin is singing while what's-his-face's father the steward is eating while he's sent his son (what's-his-face) off to basically be slaughtered. The juxtaposition of Pippin's voice and the battle scene and the close-ups of the guy mowing down the food... I just really love that scene. |

Ex-Moderator | I don't think I've cried over a movie more than Dancer in the Dark. I've watched it twice and I'm not sure I'll ever watch it again, but man oh man, I was nearly sobbing aloud in the theatre the first time and when I watched it at home alone, I didn't even hold back. |

One of my favorite movies, I've seen it many times. I didn't cry, though...but I do get a heavy pit in my stomach everytime I see it.

As a kid it was always;
But as an adult, the last one that made me cry outright at the theater was; By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

As i've read the excellent and rather funny book, its obvious that Lolita looks a bit too old for the role (the girl in it is great though). It's a sad film nonetheless. Again, the end scene, where he hears childrens laughter from a nearby town is heartbreaking in a way, even though the viewer should be disgusted by it.

THE LITTLE MERMAID- I'm always moved when Ariel sings "Part Of Your World."
TERMINATOR 2- When Arnold is lowered into the vat of steel and little John Connor begs him not to go. Very powerful. GHOST- If you've seen it then you know why. ED WOOD- Although most of this film is zany, a gripping moment surfaces when Bela Lugosi commits himself into rehab and in his first night he screams all through the night. It's a heartbreaking scene to watch this great actor suffering. THE SIXTH SENSE- When Cole tells his mom about how Grandma watched her dance and that "everyday" she is proud of her. My name is BISCUIT...and I am funky!

Hits me every time . .........Gimme your Doughnut,,,,,,

In order from back in the day.....
Brian's Song....about Gayle Sayer's teammate with the Bears who dies from some disease.....would be an early day chick flick if it wasn't about football... Beaches....everytime I shed a tear I kick myself because the movie is such a shameless tearjerker.... Fried Green Tomatoes....The Joy Luck Club... Saving Private Ryan....when Tom Hanks buys it at the end.....waterworks....I openly wept at the end..... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

The opening gets me, when the "old" Ryan drops to his knees with grief in the Graveyard, I kind of wonder how many real Veterans have done just that, being so overwhelmed with the Memories etc. The ending is quiet touching, though I would have expected Tom Hanks to say something more like "This is your fault you dumb ass !!!" I presume you Like Band Of brothers too? [Edited 11/2/06 4:51am] .........Gimme your Doughnut,,,,,,

[Edited 11/2/06 4:51am] Band of Brothers is cool, but sometimes I think I'm borderline ADHD, so I've never gotten through it....but I am a military/war movie buff....Blackhawk Down, Hamburger Hill, Full Metal Jacket, Apocalypse Now..... but back on topic....don't know how I managed to leave Forrest Gump off of my list....when he's saying goodbye to Jenny.....tearing up just thinking about it.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.
