I'm not a fan of Halloween

I won't even be celebrating it in any fashion this year.

St Nicolas comes to US, we don't have to beg door to door.

Even though some parts of Holland does have the tradition, but it is another date and at the end of the old Christian fasting period.

I think it is called Three Kings or something...

we did that in Germany on December 6 - that is, all the kids but us... our parents wouldn't let us go beg... in hindsight, they were probably right.

The older kids in our neighborhood used to dress up and chase us around and scare the shit out of us while we were trick or treating, which made it a lot of fun. One year though they tackled several of us and stole our candy tho, LOL.

That sounds slightly traumatising for a whimp like me.

I had awesome Halloweens as a kid. They are all so memorable. I stopped trick-or-treating by 11 or 12 because we joined a fundementalist Christian church and they'd have something lame called Harvest Day. We'd go to church and sing songs about Jesus on Halloween. neutral I always felt like I had about 3 or 4 more good years of hardcore trick-or-treating left in me!
