I'm jacking my own thread here, but can't be bothered to start a whole new one about it, but has anyone here tried this 'Second Life' online game thing? I just got a free account so I could look around. It sounds interesting, though a little scary in some ways.

Yes, although it sounds far to life-like and serious for anyone's good. The richest guy on there apparently owns over $200,000 worth of property (and by that I mean real money!! lol). There's a real Reuters news agency with full-time staff. People are going to work in this online world and actually getting paid. It's fascinating, I must say, but also a little sad when you think about it, running away from your real life to live in an online world.
