Does your ex still have access to your computer? Is he smart enugh to hack in and delete things? Just wondering. Most things can be restored if you know someone who's computer savvy. It's expensive if you have to pay someone though.

No he doesn't have access, and no he's not smart enough to do that anyway.

I'm just gonna have to get over it.

The thing thats weird is I keep scanning with different programs and it's saying no virus.

But like, when I talked to the verizon guy, cuz, I opened a new acct in my name, but with the same modem me n my X used, he said I had to get rid of all the old stuff and start fresh and reset the modem.

But that wouldn't delete my files would it?????

sometimes the store you bought your computer from will also be able to help you (for a fee) i think you probably need a professional to remove that malicious of a virus from your computer.

if you had things that were very important to you on your computer, like shelly said, most deleted files can be restored (again, for a fee)

now excuse me while i go run a file backup eek

True, I forgot all about that! There are programs out there such as WinUndelete that can recover alot of deleted files. Best Buy can do it as well, but it's a bit pricey.

When he said start fresh, he might have meant that would happen and you need to re- install the Windows, or you might have spyware in there that's erasing things. Wouldn't hurt to get a registry checker in there either.

Okay guys. So I did all of these yesterday and no viruses found.

I scanned for threats too??? Whatever that is and it said one threat found your virus software hasn't been updated.

So I went to update it, and apparantly its expired, so I don't actually have any.

So now what????
