Had a knife slip while I was cutting a bun at work last night...ended up getting stitches. Just 3, but still....ugh

For the next couple days they have me stuck doing expo in the kitchen at work, which is doing stuff like putting fries on the plates and making sure everything is garnished right, cuz it's something that can be done with only one hand.

I cut off my whole finger when I was 6. Strangely, I reckon this hurt a lot more.

It really does not hurt too much...except when I bump it on stuff...like I have been doing all night at work tonight...ugh. You never realise how much you use a part of your body till it's out of commission *ARGH*

As usual with an injury like this, you need to watch for symptoms of infection: fever, chills, redness or swellling at the site, drainage from the site that's purulent(white, yellow discharge) Call your physician should any of that occur.
Don't submerge hand in dirty water such as jacuzzi's, swimming pools. Should have your tetanus shot up to date.

The cut is only as bad as you make it out to be!

But seriously- did the doctor okay Neosporin and a Band-Aid? Cuts heal so much faster with Neosporin and covered up with a Band-Aid.

The doc told me to do the neosporin/bandaid thing cuz it'll heal faster and won't scar as much. As much as chicks may dig scars, I already have enough
