an original print by artist Seonna Hong: Loose Lips (Sink Ships)...no kiss & telling from me! smile

When I lived in Chicago, I used to have this one, which is not very friendly for the boudoir but I loved it anyway:

Lorna Simpson's (Possession) is 9/10s of the Law

Now it's in my living room...
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

But soon there will be this massive painting of a streetscape that I bought in Cuba for $40 a few years ago, and had framed in orange to match all the warm colours in the painting!

mushy

I've got: framed pictures of Mother Mary, The Morrigan and Kwan Yin, plus a postcard that I love with a quote from the poet Rumi, and a black-and-white pic of me completely topless with a shaved head, running into the ocean with my arms in the air.

Anx

i have a painting that my friend liz made when we lived together in an east village apartment in NYC years ago (she now lives in chicago too).

the painting is a red and blue abstract design with a big arrow and a star. she used tempera paint and cut the star out of a paper bag. the canvas was a piece of refrigerator box. then she had it framed.

cost of painting/supplies: about five dollars

cost of frame: three hundred dollars

i love it! lol
