The energy is lonely in there But my easel, dressform and bookshelf are hard to work around If you're interested you can send me a discription of your desk (location in the room--from teh front door, etc.) and I can give you recommend Feng Shui cures. They're all cheap. The most expensive cure might be to buy a small mirror or plant, etc.

Remember: Feng SHui is about placement and direction of energy flows--not decoration. So it won't require you spending oodles of money. Send it to my myspace or orgnote. I'm off to bed. Fauxie foot pictures make me want to take care of some business and call it a night.

At work from l to r (going on memory cause I'm at home):
-A postcard of Duchamp's Large Glass with the silhouette of a man walking behind it (I Duchamp.) -Urban flash cards: definition of Dime Out -pics of my niece & nephew -postcard with an aerial view of my hometown (population 854), 'cause you gotta remember where you're from to realize how far you've come -Piss Whitney (after Andres Serrano) postcard made by disgruntled Whitney curator when he left (I hate the Whitney Museum) -Photo of my co-workers with "Santa" last Dec. at a Herman Miller We Care event in Harlem -photo of my former Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago) co-workers on the Sol LeWitt sculpture in the MCA garden on my last day of work -postcard of Bruce Naumann's Self-Portrait as a Fountain -postcard of my favorite painting: The Innocent Eye Test by Mark Tansey -picture of Spike Lee from the black tie gala my company hosted last week. I was supposed to escort him to his table but he showed up 30 minutes early and I missed him! -pin I made of Kermit the Frog holding the sign from when was on the Muppets -small calendar with b/w photos of Paris. -b/w pic of Prince circa 1976 with a big fro that my co-worker saw in a magazine & cut out for me. lol. -and a quote taped to my computer moniter that says, "Be patient towards all that is unsolved in your heart." Can you tell I love contemporary art? (evenstar3, I was an art history major in undergrad & got my masters in contemporary art history. What is your fave area? Art history rocks!! ) it is too art edit [Edited 10/26/06 20:25pm] The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I love egyptian art, but never had an opportunity to study it much. I really love Indian art though, especially Hindu sculpture and manuscripts. Gorgeous. That was my "minor" in grad school. And the pre-Raphaelites...and symbolism (Moreau and Redon-->my halloween avie), the Fauves...& the NY school, photography, Dada, crazy contemporary art...there's just so much that I like that it's usually easier for me to say what I'm not really fond of...but even then there isn't much. - business cards for the C.E.O. of one of our suppliers in Barcelona and a retailer in England - some colour swatches - a Bruce Springsteen calendar that someone gave me as a gift - A piece of paper that says, "Don't you see? A mattress...a lightbulb...a sink... It couldn't get any simpler!"
