roughly how many pages is 50,000 words?

i wanna say 120pp, depending on how you're formatting your manuscript. i forget exactly, to be honest. i like to type single space at 10 or 12pt, with either verdana or courier as my font (depends on mood). some people like big point sizes, big fonts, double or triple spacing. of course, that's gonna up the page count.

What were your previous novels about?

one was a dystopian future story about a kid who sells his skin as advertising space, and the other was a satire/fantasy about a talentless celebrity who not only finds herself physically disappearing, but gradually disappearing in the collective consciousness of society as well.

the one i'm doing this year is about a guy who grows up with a vampire mom. smile

cool Those books sound fun and fascinating!

Have you worked on them after the month was over, or tried to publish them?

That's a lot of words for one month. The most I've ever written was about 35 pages (single spaced on 8 1/2 x 11 paper. that probably works out to more novel-sized pages)

I'd love to try it though. It's good encouragement to plough ahead, if not to be good. But finishing something of length is an accomplishment in and of itself. It's like running a marathon; it doesn't have to be pretty.

How can they tell if you did it all in a month though?
