Working hard for love. :-| Why is it so hard to have a relationship? I've been with my boyfriend now for 5 years, and it seems that each year is no easier than the one before it.
I mean, it's like love is a chore. Do any of you experience this? Or is love effortless? And be among her cloudy trophies hung.

A relationship is a partnership. Two people have to work at it to keep it going or it dies. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

But when you get to the point of feeling exhausted and questioning how much effort your having to put in and reaping little or no rewards. It's time to reevaluate the relationship and call it quits maybe. And I mean your not even married and no kids involoved, rite?? Get Out if your not happy! It's not worth it..... Dan.

Right now it seems everyone around me is struggling in their relationships all at the same time. Must be the season for it as there are 3 or 4 couples I know all having serious problems right now.

If you have to work at a relationship then it's not meant to be and you are not meant to be with the other person. Sorry to break it to you. [Edited 10/25/06 22:28pm]

There are more exogenous factors to consider, but I would agree with you in certain circumstances. Long run relationships are about work at times.

No. Seriously, i am breaking it to people who think relationships are hard work. I just think that is people in relationships trying to console themselves. If two people are meant to be together or perfect for one another They would not have to work at it.
