There's a surgical procedure to treat chronic erection. Urologists need to be consulted. And it can be a problem if it lasts > 4 hours. Last pt. we had where I work, took ectasy. Had to go to the OR twice. Re-erected after he was fixed the 1st time. Anesthesiologist even gave him a nerve block for prevention.

There's a medical term for chronic erection but I couldn't find it in Web MD. While I was reading info on it, one article stated 50% of men between the ages of 40-70 are affected by impotence. The reasons given are health, diabetes, medications to treat cardiac disease, alcohol consumption etc.
Lots of info on impotence, not much on the opposite. | |
