My mates have tried to wind me up by doing that. When I said I was going to the Celebration, and as soon as they hear I'm going to a meet-up, the ol' "Is it a convention??" line come out.

Don't worry about it. My parents used to trip when I would go to Minneapolis for the celebrations. They used to tell me, "You go there for PRINCE? I would never do that." I told them that it was not only for Prince that I would go, but also to meet other orgers. I've met some really cool peeps from this site. I miss those celebrations a lot, they were soooo much fun!

People still say this to me and really think all we do is talk about Prince, do secret handshakes and dress like him. We should encourage it.
