Anyway, yeah, you can definitely do it yourself, unless you're going for some highter-maintenance tapered effect. Don't pay anyone. I don't know how quickly your facial hair grows, or how low you plan on buzzing your head. But if you're like me, you'll find there'll be roughly a 2-day window between each buzzing that your hair and 5 o'clock shadow will be pretty much the same length and blend especially beautifully. You'll feel particularly sexy on those days. ...Oh, and don't be shocked to find you suddenly look hotter in leather and/or turtlenecks. some people with shaved heads look like thumb heads. like thier head and jaw and neck a melt into one giant thumb between thier shoulders u are hilarious

Ex-Moderator | You look lovely.
But I must confess, when Darin told me you'd shaved your head last night on the phone I complained for about 5 minutes straight. (Why would he do that? He's got such great hair! I mean, I'm sure he looks good, but when someone with perfectly good hair goes and shaves their head... I don't know.) |

'Shaved-headed community'. I can't see the pic, Anx - I'll check later - but I'm sure it is the hottness. And don't listen to that barber of your's - clipping your own hair is totally easy. Simple. And it'll save you a fortune if you're going to keep it that short on a regular basis. Have people started stroking it already??

SO. i decided to go the opposite direction this year. at least i can wear hats this winter without getting hat head!

When you're old, and start losing your hair, you'll wish you had it back.
All the 50 something's I know who started this, shave because they're going bald. Grow it BACK! Plenty of time later to shave when you get to be a baldy. Unless you have good genes. (I believe it's male dominent) If baldness doesn't run in your family, shave away. [Edited 10/25/06 6:52am]

[Edited 10/25/06 6:52am] baldness runs rampant in my mom's side, but not my dad's...and it seems like i got my dad's hair gene, otherwise i'da been a baldy by the time i was 21. meanwhile, my paternal grandfather died in his late 70s with a full head of beautiful silver hair and a full beard. my hair grows like a weed...in two weeks, it'll be back to almost the length that people are used to, trust me. this is why shaving my head is so liberating. also, with all the colors of the fruit rainbow i dyed my hair when i was younger, shaving it off is one of the healthier things i've ever done!

hell, if someone came to work as a krishna convert, i'd be pleased as punch! but i'm not the typical employee around here... and as far as the aryan thing goes, i agree with sarah silverman - nazis are assholes, but they're so cute when they're little!
