Remember When I Posted About a Co-Worker Passing Away While on the Job?

Well, I just learned a few days ago that ANOTHER former co-worker of mine has died. sad I knew her, even though she worked in a different department than I did. She had just retired 3 weeks ago, and was at the movies with a friend of hers, when she died suddenly of a heart attack. sad We are again in shock over this unfortunate news. What's sad is that she was excited about being able to spend time with her granddaughters (and her granddaughters being with her). She didn't have a whole lot of time to enjoy her retirement.

Then tonight, I was talking to a friend of mine who I used to work with, and learned that another lady that we worked with had recently lost her husband. disbelief

All 3 people who I heard about passing away were all not that old, which is so sad. I feel especially bad for their families and friends, who will certainly not be having a very good holiday season this year. sad This is the third death that I've heard about within the last 7-10 days, and it's kinda got me creeped out over here. I hope I don't hear about anybody else dying for awhile. I know that death is a part of life, but it's still hard to take. boxed

hug Thanks, Supa. You're right, it does become a reality the older we get. nod It's strange because I never seemed to hear about people dying as much when I was younger. But now that I'm older, I hear more and more about it.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

hug You're right about that. When we're younger, death doesn't seem to affect us as much as it does when we get older.
