You can see more on the Dr. Phil web site (Tue. show). http://www.youtube.com/wa...NPvdsJS-qE
"That is absolutely despicable, and I refuse to publicize that," Dr. Phil tells the audience. "He clearly could not have a serious dialogue about this ridiculous topic. I think what I saw on these screens is absolutely despicable. I think it’s deplorable, and I think it is an insult to my intelligence and those of my viewers, for somebody to stand up and say, ‘I’m trying to help people by doing this.’ It’s just my opinion. I have absolute complete and total respect for our first amendment rights — including mine — and since that’s my name up there, I put what I want on my show, and that ain’t it." There are few talk shows not about the host, Dr. Phil's show is clearly not one of them. Even the most professional talk show host or psychiatrist can't handle direct mocking, such as the guy wearing the Dr. Phil costume did. It showed Dr. Phil's weakness more than his strength. However, Dr. Phil being a master of the Jedi Mind Trick, he fooled the audience into thinking he was the top dog. My opinion was Phil couldn't take the heat, so he made Ty stop cooking and leave the kitchen.

Huh?
I guess I'd understand all this if I watched that clip. I think I'll be okay with not understanding. The Normal Whores Club

My opinion was Phil couldn't take the heat, so he made Ty stop cooking and leave the kitchen. he's so full of crap. if he really didn't want to promote this, he wouldn't have even broadcast that little tantrum. he wouldn't even have the guy come out dressed like dr. phil! one look and they would have been like "oh no you don't, let's bring out the crazy OCD cat ladies we keep on reserve instead", but no. it would bring dr. phil some publicity and ratings to show him being the big moral defender, and meanwhile this "deplorable content" is getting more exposure as a result - after all, there's no such thing as bad publicity. borat couldn't have done a better job of setting up a media stunt.

it's what happens when the far fringes of pop culture meet the sweaty bowels of the mainstream. always good for a chuckle and an eye roll.
