I just started making a list for my kids and spouse but have not bought a single thing neutral . mostly electronics, DVDs and games is what my boys are getting. My mom is 47 and she really enjoyed my mothers day gift to her. I got her a day at a holistic spa. She said she felt great for weeks and has been back twice since.

I'm starting my Christmas shopping tomorrow. Gotta get some clothes for my two nephews and my niece. That will be nice to get that out of the way. The only other gift I'll need to buy is one for the family member whose name I pick. Thanksgiving weekend, all the adults put their names into a hat, and we each draw a name. Whichever name we get, that is the person that we need to buy a gift for. We usually email the entire family to let them know what we want, since we don't reveal to each other whose name we have. Although my family is notoriously late for letting us know what they want.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I've started a bit, I pretty much only buy for my kids. I got them both some good sunglasses (the sun is brutal down here, gotta protect them from cataracts at an early age, so no cheap 7-11 sunglasses here). I plan on getting my daughter a cell phone and my son a laptop as long as they still stay on honor roll.

He's going to be 12, but he's in a math and science oriented middle school, so he needs the computer, especially with the split custody his mother and I share.
